I was born and brought up in rural Herefordshire, with a close connection to agriculture and farming, at the foot of the Malvern hills.
I had a happy childhood, the youngest of 3 girls, but I craved adventure and the bright lights of New York were beckoning.
I lived and worked in Manhattan as a nanny in my early 20's and immersed myself in the melting pot of diversity that is New York City.
I've always loved to travel and have spent time in India, Africa, Australia, The Caribbean, The Far East, North America and Europe.
Most of my working life was spent in the Travel Industry, arranging exotic trips for wealthy travellers.
I moved to Brighton from London at the end of the 90's.
Brighton is where I met and married my husband, and together we have raised 3 amazing children into adulthood.
I set up my business in holistic wellbeing in 2008 and have enjoyed the flexibility of being self-employed and helping people to reach their wellness goals ever since.
I have been well-supported by a loyal client base and have had the privilege of working with people through some of the most difficult times in their lives. It has taught me humility, patience and the value of providing a safe space for sensitive issues to be aired. I have been guided towards working in the funeral industry as a Celebrant and trust that the intuition that has lead me here is connected to me fulfilling my true purpose in life.
Funerals can be seen as an act of love, offering connection, comfort and hope.
A good funeral allows space for grief to be held and acknowledged, whilst expressing gratitude for the life of a loved one lost
I am professional, caring and calm.
I work with families to write personalised ceremonies which clearly reflect the values and beliefs of the person who has died.
I have trained to the highest standards within the funeral industry and bring with me a wealth of experience in navigating complex family dynamics.
It is an honour to walk alongside people as they navigate their grief and to be trusted to tell the story of their loved one at such an important time.
